Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love sharing the real meaning of Christmas with my friends and family and do enjoy making our home warm and welcoming.

Have you started decorating?  I think I have spent more time decorating my mantel than any other part of my home thus far and am excited to share it with you. I also wanted to join the many Christmas blog parties going on including Pamela’s From My Front Porch to Yours,Kristin at My Uncommon Slice of Surburbia and Beth at Home Stories A to Z just to name a few! Be sure to go say hello!

Our 2011 Mantel

Originally, I started out with one really large wreath seen here. I was given 2 large wreaths and this is the smaller of the two.  My aunt spent more than 2 hours helping me shape the original and make it beautiful. Then we hung it and it broke. My husband couldn’t believe I was so upset. Read the rest of this entry »

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their family and friends. If you, like me, ate too much turkey, you wound up in a Turkey Coma yesterday afternoon and had to sleep it off.

So, it’s Black Friday, and many of you are shopping.  Please be sure to support your local businesses, as that supports your neighbors and friends.

Am excited to reveal a couple of things upcoming I’m excited about and wanted to share.

1. We’re getting a facelift (so bear with us while we get our template redesigned)

2. We’re going to be participating in some great online Holiday parties and will showcase some fantastic Holiday decorating and DIY type projects(like this feather wreath posted above! isn’t it gorgeous?)

Every girl deserves a great bag. Whether you work, stay at home, or are still in school, a great bag is one of life’s little luxuries, no matter what your age, in my opinion. There is something about finding a fantastic bag that speaks your style and travels happily on your arm. Doesn’t have to cost a fortune though.

My current favorite is my Coach Tote that doubles as my diaper bag. I fell in love with this bag while on a girl’s weekend doing outlet shopping. While some may frown upon what I paid, I have used it every day for the past year. I’m not a huge proponent of spending a fortunate on “things” but realized that I use my bag every day.   So if you calculate the cost per use, I’ve come out much better than the multiple bags I’ve purchase over the past years and only used a few times. The trick is to find the style you love and works for your lifestyle, whatever brand that may be.

So here’s the secret, many outlet brands are selling online now too, for those unfortunate souls who don’t get to steal away for outlet shopping. I’ll keep you posted on others as you come back to visit!

Sign up for Coach’s online outlet by emailing or calling 800-307-0040 to get a private invitation sent to you each time they open their outlet.

Happy Shopping!
